I can only wish that the approach to my front door looked this good this year... Posted by Picasa

Are you saying it looked that good another year? Quite professional, I'd say.

(I could show you some great pictures of a neglected vegetable garden....)

We moved to the Hill Country in 1993 and I've had several years where the flowerbeds were quite stunning, although never as pristine as my mother's in north Texas. I'll not be posting a picture of this year's plants, however. The contrast would be pathetic. I was a bit over-ambitious in my landscape dreams when we moved here for my current knee and hand problems, so last year I sodded part of the perennial beds and try to keep it mowed down. Our lot is about 1/3 acre in a small town and I don't even have the excuse of multiple children, gainful employment, or such. Perhaps next year....

Hi. I hate to say this but we own a nursery and I can't take any claim to fame for anything that grows here. Actually, I have to promise not to have anything to do with growing plants. Children I do well at, but not plants. Where in hill country do you live? I was born and raise in TX. I met Larry there at LETU and we married there as well. Now the offspring has returned. Lookforward to getting to know you better. I love your "about me" It is so true, so true for me too.

We live just northwest of San Antonio off of Interstate 10. Thanks for the nice note. I just saw your daughter this past weekend. The contents of the last package from home were in use. :)
